Daniel gasped. Every hair on his body stood up. And when the angel

spoke, Daniel’s knees caved in and he fell to the ground.

A second later, he felt a hand lift him up.

“Don’t be scared, Daniel,” the angel said. “God loves you. He heard

your prayers the minute they were out of your mouth. And he sent me with

the answers.”

Before Daniel could ask him—what took so long—the angel spoke again.

“Yes, Daniel, I know it has taken me ages to get here,” the angel said. “And

believe me, I tried to come sooner.”

The angel took a deep breath. Then he explained why he was late.

“A fallen angel who calls himself ‘Prince’ was stirring up trouble in Persia,”

the angel said. “I was there trying to stop him when I got orders to leave.

I started out, but that bad angel Prince blocked me. I was stuck for days. I

finally had to call for help.”

Daniel was surprised. “Help?” he said. “Who did you call?”

“Michael, one of the archangels,” the angel replied. “He was there in an

instant and dealt with Prince. And that freed me to make my way to you.”
